Khalimakhon Abdumajidova - Embroidered Jackets

Master Khalimakhon Abdumajidova learned her craft early at home.  Her father was a teacher and her mother a craftsman. When she was 7 years, she began helping her mother with hand embroidery. She learned the skill of hand embroidery from her mother, and it is being passed on to the next generation. She now has four daughters of her own, who help her with her embroidery work.  Khalimakhon's costumes with embroidery are so well recognized for their beauty and quality that they have been exhibited in museums.
