Their creations breathe new life into the cherished tradition of Uzbekistan's iconic Rishtan ceramics, famed for their captivating green-blue hues and intricate geometric and floral motifs. Rustam Usmanov, a guardian of this artistry, embarked on a remarkable journey to revive and safeguard these techniques. Following the demise of the local ceramics factory in the wake of the Soviet Union's fall, he established a home studio, dedicated to reviving the ancient art of Rishtan ceramics. That original workshop, which now includes additional family members and apprentice students, has grown to international fame. For more information about the Usmanov studio, click here.
